SAN technology provides one (or even more) secondary (mono or multi location) live data pool. By journaling technology it also gives possibilities for the additional not live timely/daily (mono or multi location) ‘frozen’ online backups, called snapshots, providing a full consistent data image of an exact time: the best historic data integrity available (no more ‘moving made’ so due the taking time vaguely data ‘photo’s’): exact backups of the file system on a certain moment.
